March happenings

For Spring Break vacation we decided to go up to Vancouver, BC, Canada.  We had a nice week, although it was very wet.  Gresham is having a very wet spring and so is Canada!
Although it was rainy everyday, we found some indoor things to do and did some outdoor things when the rain was a little lighter.
On Wednesday we drove over to Langley, BC and attended the temple.  It was a beautiful temple, lovely colors inside and so peaceful.
We arrived in Canada on Sunday morning and since it was going to be the only sunny day, we took advantage of the sun and visited Capilano bridge.  There is a suspended bridge across the river, way up high in the trees.  Once you are on the other side, there is also a series of suspended bridges from tree to tree, with little tree platforms at each tree.  Fun place for kids to explore.

We also found this little walk way at the side of the cliffs, high above the river.  Beautiful view of the river and forest.

Of course it wouldn't be a vacation without lots of good food.  We took advantage of being in a large city with lots of ethnic restaurants.  We ate Hungarian, French, Japanese, Indian, and Local food!  It was all yummy, but the French was our favorite.

We went to Granville Island twice, once to look around and then back again to eat and look around! These strawberries were huge and presented in such a way that you just wanted to buy them...but we didn't.  We just took their picture!

Look at these Jelly Fish!  We had a great day at the Vancouver Aquarium.  It's a must see if you visit Vancouver.  We saw interesting marine life and other animals that live near the marine life.  We enjoyed a show with the Beluga whales, dolphins and much more.
I couldn't resist this little picture.  We saw this cute little boat at the marina near Grandville Island and thought that our grandson, Noah, would like it.  It looks like it belongs on the island where Thomas the Tank Engine lives and works!
Just one more picture to remind us of March.  Alyna was over on St. Patrick's day, so we made a green breakfast.  She made limeade, green scrambled eggs and put green butter on her English muffin!  Yum-Yum!
